  6. Resolution Ride (Ages 18+)

    Pedal your way into summer at the Brambleton Center! Bring your fitness goals, hop on a bike and make a move towards better health. This specially designed class will provide benchmarks and target heart rate, RPM and energy output goals for each ride. Work alongside an energetic instructor and fellow cyclists in a fun cardio class that pairs your bike with a fitness system to track your statistics with each pedal you push. You can even have statistics sent to your phone, so that you can track your progress from the first class to the last class. Come in with fitness goals and leave with results! You never have to arrive early – bikes are selected and guaranteed for the entirety of the class. 6 week course. Instructor: Beth Hoel.

  8. T'ai Chi-24 Form (Ages 18+)

    An internal martial art that emphasizes breathing and gentle continuous movements to help reduce stress and build strength. Also known for improving balance and joint health by slow, mindful, low-impact movements. Classes will focus on standing meditation, gentle flowing movements (Qigong), balance work, and learning the 24 Form.   11. Intermediate Obedience & Problem Solving (Ages 18+)

    Now that your dog has learned some good manners, the next step is to apply those manners to real life situations while addressing common behavior problems like jumping on guests, door-dashing, pulling on the leash, not coming when called, etc. Behaviors taught include stay, place, leave it, heel, touch tag, and more. Dogs will be taught to respond to both verbal and non-verbal cues. Prerequisite: Graduation from our Beginner Obedience course or permission from High Hopes.

  13. Beginner Obedience & Good Manners (Ages 18+)

    Want a dog who listens better? In this basic training course, dog parents will learn how to best communicate with their dogs in order to teach them good manners. Positive reinforcement training methods are used to teach the following behaviors: touch, look, sit, down, stand, come, settle, wait, take it, loose-leash walking, plus more. Other topics include parent separation, agility exercises, impulse control, and canine communication. Dogs must complete either Puppy Kindergarten or be at least 6 months old. Six week course taught by High Hopes Dog Training.

    The single most important (and fun) thing you can do for your puppy? Puppy Kindergarten!! For puppies between 10-24 weeks old, socialization with other puppies and people is crucial in order to help them become social, well-balanced dogs. While making lots of friends during off-leash playtime, your puppy will gain confidence by participating in activities and learning basic commands. Discussions for puppy parents include puppy development, house-training, destructive chewing, and play-biting. Six week course taught by High Hopes Dog Training.

  2. Animal Camouflage Workshop

    Believe it or not, there are hundreds of animals that make Explore Park their home. In order to protect themselves, animals have adapted ways to avoid predators. Special adaptations also assist animals in catching prey and keeping their young safe. We’ll learn the secrets of the animal adaptations that allow animals of all sizes to hide in plain sight. Take a walk, look closely and discover some of the tracks and traces of the hidden animals that call the Park’s diverse habitats home. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Green Ridge Recreation Center Calendar

  1. Adult Ballet (Ages 16+)

    This is a beginning level ballet class comprised of a 30 minute barre featuring exercises to warm-up feet, legs, and arms. This is followed by 30 minutes of center work and traveling combinations to work on balance, coordination, and flexibility. Participants may wear tights, leggings, sweatpants, and either a leotard or sports top. Ballet slippers are recommended. Instructor Beth Brunelle.

    Preschool gymnastics classes at Green Ridge are filled with obstacle courses, tunnels, and exciting lesson plans, but your time spent with us is not all fun and games. Not only are they JAM-PACKED with fun, new activities in each class, they offer extensive physical work on balance, coordination, and motor skills. Sounds great, right? I'm not done yet! Our instructors are instilling intellectual learning into each class! Your little tots will be counting, using shapes, colors, sounds, music, and engaging all 5 senses! We haven't forgotten about good listening skills! Our most asked question by parents is, 'What can a 3 year old really do at gymnastics?' The answer is, 'LOTS', let us show you!     Each and every gymnast in our recreational program receives multitudes of one-on-one attention! This class boosts self-esteem and confidence as each gymnast will soon see their skills improving and bodies toning. We give our gymnasts big goals and encourage them to push themselves to succeed! Although this gymnastics class is not being held in an actual gymnastics facility, we will continue to be extremely goal oriented as we work balance, tumbling, coordination and more! Our classes are based off of USAG curriculum and mixed in with fun and effective drills. These classes will be training on a multitude of equipment. Our Beginner Program at Green Ridge is an entry level class that introduces the wonderful sport of gymnastics and build up basic skills so one day we can move to a more advanced class! Leotard is not required-just wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed athletic shoes.
