    Begin your morning with this low impact fitness class, designed to blend standing and seated exercises to improve endurance, strength and balance. The class will increase heart rate through gentle exercises and will end with seated poses to improve flexibility and posture.   2. Yoga for Beginners (Ages 18+)

    Have you been curious and wanting to give yoga a try? Come to a gently paced class that introduces those new to yoga to the practice. Including poses appropriate for beginners, an introduction to using yoga blocks and straps, utilizing the breath, and relaxation to help settle the mind and emotions. Learn how to move through poses with short flows and to hold poses to build strength while using the breath to go deeper into the form.   11. Pottery - Monday (Ages 18+)

    December 30, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Brambleton Center

    The Brambleton Center offers a well equipped studio to create original works of clay in both wheel and freeform. Equipment includes 13 electric wheels, a slab roller, and an assortment of tools and accessories for shaping and sculpting the clay. A variety of glazes are mixed in the studio offering about 23 colors. Class fee also includes utilizing the studio on your own during select times when classes aren't in session and the firing of pieces made during the 10 week term. Clay must be purchased through Brambleton Center at $25/25 pounds. Saturday will be an open workshop opportunity for those currently registered in a Pottery class. All pottery classes are ten week programs.

    School's Out! Join us for a fun day at Green Ridge Recreation Center when Roanoke County Schools are out. Swimming, gym time, arts, crafts, and games are all planned for the day. Register for morning, afternoon, or all day. Morning snack and afternoon snack will be provided. Please pack a sack lunch if staying from 12-1. Also, please bring swimsuit, towel and gym shoes. Please register in advance as spots will go quickly!
