    Whether you are new to ceramics, decorated ceramics 40 years ago, or have recently made ceramic items, we welcome you to join this class. You will purchase your molded greenware pieces from a local vendor and instruction will be provided for your level of experience. Techniques include acrylic painting, dry brush painting, glazes and under-glazes. We will fire your pieces at the Brambleton Center as you make them. This is an enjoyable and relaxing way to make many useful items for your home and for gifts. Instructor: Betsy Jenkins

  3. Chair Assisted Yoga (Ages 18+)

    If you've wanted to try yoga, but feel you can't get up and down easily, this class is for you! Improve balance, posture, coordination and memory, improve muscle tone, reduce stress and learn relaxation techniques. No need to get on the floor, no experience necessary.   4. Pilates & Barre (Ages 18+)

    This low impact, effective program firms, lengthens, and shapes muscles to their optimal form! We start with warm-up exercises and stretches based in Pilates, then we use light hand weights for toning the upper body, followed by highly effective deep tissue concentrated exercises to work the thighs and seat. We will finish with abdominal- targeting mat work. You will feel new strength, increased flexibility, and more graceful. 6 week program. Instructor: Heather Richardson.

    Challenging and rejuvenating for all fitness levels, this Pilates class uses the principles of control, centering, concentration, and precision to engage the deepest core muscles. A total body balance of strength and flexibility that incorporates mind-body exercise techniques to calm the mind and reduce stress. Ten week program. Instructor: Patricia Placona.

  7. Absolute Beginners Pottery (Ages 16+)

    Our beginners course is great for anyone who wants to dive right into clay. Experienced instructors will guide you through the process of creating pottery on and off the potter's wheel. You will also learn basic methods for finishing and glazing your pieces. Class fee includes studio time during select times when classes aren't in session and the firing of pieces made during the eight week term. Clay must be purchased through Brambleton Center at $25/25 pounds. Instructor: Carlos Dowling.

    School's Out! Join us for a fun day at Green Ridge Recreation Center when Roanoke County Schools are out. Swimming, gym time, arts, crafts, and games are all planned for the day. Register for morning, afternoon, or all day. Morning snack and afternoon snack will be provided. Please pack a sack lunch if staying from 12-1. Also, please bring swimsuit, towel and gym shoes. Please register in advance as spots will go quickly!
