  2. Handbuilding in Clay (Ages 18+)

  5. Pilates & Barre (Ages 18+)

    This low impact, effective program firms, lengthens, and shapes muscles to their optimal form! We start with warm-up exercises and stretches based in Pilates, then we use light hand weights for toning the upper body, followed by highly effective deep tissue concentrated exercises to work the thighs and seat. We will finish with abdominal- targeting mat work. You will feel new strength, increased flexibility, and more graceful. 6 week program. Instructor: Heather Richardson.

  7. Resolution Ride (Ages 18+)

    Pedal your way into fall at the Brambleton Center! Bring your fitness goals, hop on a bike and make a move towards better health. This specially designed class will provide benchmarks and target heart rate, RPM and energy output goals for each ride. Work alongside an energetic instructor and fellow cyclists in a fun cardio class that pairs your bike with a fitness system to track your statistics with each pedal you push. You can even have statistics sent to your phone, so that you can track your progress from the first class to the last class. Come in with fitness goals and leave with results! You never have to arrive early – bikes are selected and guaranteed for the entirety of the class. 6 week course. Instructor: Beth Hoel.

  8. Pottery - Tuesday (Ages 18+)

    The Brambleton Center offers a well equipped studio to create original works of clay in both wheel and freeform. Equipment includes 13 electric wheels, a slab roller, and an assortment of tools and accessories for shaping and sculpting the clay. A variety of glazes are mixed in the studio offering about 23 colors. Class fee also includes utilizing the studio on your own during select times when classes aren't in session and the firing of pieces made during the 10 week term. Clay must be purchased through Brambleton Center at $25/25 pounds. Saturday will be an open workshop opportunity for those currently registered in a Pottery class. All pottery classes are ten week programs.

    Power yoga is an active style of yoga, designed to elevate heart rate with calorie-burning poses and create heat in the body. This class will cover the basics of power yoga, creating a foundation for the beginning power yoga student. This style of yoga aims to increase endurance and stamina, and places a special emphasis on core strengthening, making it a great compliment to your current workout or gentle yoga practice.     Accesorize your travel mug! Get into the holiday spirit with this cute Christmas Tree Cozy-perfect for traveling to outdoor holiday events! This is a beginner-friendly class! You will need a skein of worsted weight (4) in choice of color. A 5 mm hook will be needed as well. You will be notified when class meets minimum for supply purchase. Instructor Krislyn Colombini is a self-taught crocheter that now sells her crochet creations online and in shows. She will help you work through difficult issues in a small class setting.

    The single most important (and fun) thing you can do for your puppy? Puppy Kindergarten!! For puppies between 10-24 weeks old, socialization with other puppies and people is crucial in order to help them become social, well-balanced dogs. While making lots of friends during off-leash playtime, your puppy will gain confidence by participating in activities and learning basic commands. Discussions for puppy parents include puppy development, house-training, destructive chewing, and play-biting. Six week course taught by High Hopes Dog Training.

  3. Beginner Obedience &Good Manners (Ages 18+)

    Want a dog who listens better? In this basic training course, dog parents will learn how to best communicate with their dogs in order to teach them good manners. Positive reinforcement training methods are used to teach the following behaviors: touch, look, sit, down, stand, come, settle, wait, take it, loose-leash walking, plus more. Other topics include parent separation, agility exercises, impulse control, and canine communication. Dogs must complete either Puppy Kindergarten or be at least 6 months old.   4. Swing Roanoke Dance Lessons (Ages 18+)

    Want a new way to have fun and exercise? Swing Roanoke will be teaching classes to keep your feet moving! Each seven week series of classes will cover various swing dances like East Coast Swing, 20's or 30's Charleston, Lindy Hop, and others. No partner is required and those with two left feet are welcome! No matter how many times you have come before-classes will have fresh material to learn in each series! Classes include 45 minutes of instruction followed by practice time. Instruction by Swing Roanoke. September-October will be Swing Line Dances. October-December will be the Hustle.
