  1. Canine Good Citizen Certification (Ages 18+)

    Don't we all want our dogs to be Canine Good Citizens? Well, we can help make that happen! During this six week course, we focus on the ten skills needed by all well-mannered dogs as outlined in the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Program. The CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community while stressing responsible pet ownership. The CGC test is administered on the last day of class, and all dogs who pass will receive a certificate from the AKC. Instruction provided by High Hopes Dog Training.(Pre-requisite: Dogs must have graduated from Intermediate Obedience or have had private lessons with High Hopes.)

  2. Therapy Dog (Ages 18+)

    Would you like to give back to your community by volunteering with your dog? Therapy Dogs are used in a variety of settings including hospitals, rehab and long-term care facilities, schools, libraries, Veteran care programs, and many other facilities. During this six week course, we practice advanced behaviors necessary for you and your dog to interact in the community with different types of people in different environments. Your dog must have his or her Canine Good Citizen title to participate.

    February 28, 2020, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Green Ridge Recreation Center

    Down Home cooking that will add a Kick to your Taste Buds, BUD! Learn to prepare (and then enjoy) Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe - The Traditional Louisiana Meal and Gumbo Style Chicken Creole (a lesson that will help you with many other dishes and stews for years to come-making a roux). Create a mouth-watering Blackened Catfish entree served up with just the right touch of spices and flavor (make your own Blackening Seasonings). Finish the evening with learning to create a Louisiana treat-Creole Coffee. Chef Dominic made an appearance on the fourth season of Fox Network's Hell's Kitchen. He looks forward to the opportunity to bring his family-friendly attitude, skills and good-natured cooking to you and yours!

  4. Kinderdance® (Ages 3-5)

    Your child will learn developmentally appropriate basics of ballet, tap, acrobatics, and creative movement, while learning numbers, colors, shapes, words and songs. There is an annual sign-up fee for Kinderdance® of $30 to be paid each year upon starting classes. Choose the fee with $30 added to it to pay your sign-up fee when first registering on or after September 2019. Each month following, you will no longer need to pay the sign-up fee. Instruction provided by Kinderdance® staff. All dancers will be given their class uniform and proper footwear on the first day of class.

  5. Tiny Bubbles (Ages 18 months - 36 months)

    Join your child as they discover the world of water. With your help, toddlers will experiment with arm and leg action, floating and going under water. Lots of repetition will help them become very comfortable and confident in the water. This is a fun and engaging class which will keep your child wanting to come back even as they are learning about safety and swimming skills. Parental participation is required.

  6. Kindertots® (Age 2)

    Two year old children are engaged in a dance and movement program developmentally designed. During class they enjoy movement creativity, dance exploration, physical development and body awareness while learning numbers, colors, shapes and songs. There is an annual sign-up fee for Kindertots® of $20 to be paid each year upon starting classes (September 2019 is start of new year). Choose the fee with $20 added to it to pay your sign-up fee when first registering on or after September 2019. Each month following, you will no longer need to pay the sign-up fee.   7. Kids Yoga (Ages 4-6)

    Children ages 4 to 6 will learn the basics of yoga in a developmentally designed program just for them! We will explore basic yoga positions and working together as a class while learning about mindfulness and our peace within. This program will bring new movements, yoga games, and activities to your child each week. Join us today for a high-energy class full of rhythm, moving, laughing, and learning! Choose the fee with $15 added to it to pay your sign-up fee when first registering on or after September 2019. Each month following, you will no longer need to pay the sign-up fee.   8. Soap Making (Ages 18+)

    February 29, 2020, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Green Ridge Recreation Center

    Learn how soap becomes “soap” through the process of saponification and how to use on line calculators to custom create any soap that suits your personal preference! Participants will have hands on practice creating and following a recipe, learn important safety tips and will leave class with at least one pound of “raw” soap to take home to cure the 6-8 weeks necessary. This is a fast-paced course designed to give the basics of soap making. Please bring an old bath sized towel to insulate soap for the ride home. Lisa Hoyt has been teaching soap making for over 20 years.
