Explore Park Opening Weekend 2023 River Clean-Up Event

What: Roanoke River Clean-Up

Come help Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism clean-up selected trails and river frontage along the Roanoke River at Explore Park on Saturday, April 1, 2023! Gloves, trash-bags and other needed materials will be provided by our department's Volunteer Coordinator. To sign up as an individual or group, please contact them at volunteercoordinator@roanokecountyva.gov. We will be meeting at the Explore Park Visitor Center (bathrooms available) at 9 AM before we head down to the river-walk trail that morning! Hope to see you on April 1st!

Things to Know

• Registration - Email volunteercoordinator@roanokecountyva.gov to sign up as an individual or group
• Dress appropriately - Wear long pants and sturdy shoes
• Tools, gloves, trash bags and materials will be provided by our volunteer coordinator
